This dynamic leadership position demands strong influential skill, deep customer focus and passion to shape the culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness of Honeywell in Korea and Japan.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company's business goals and objectives. Your role will involve partnering with country president and business leaders to carve out priorities around organization design, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, inclusion and diversity and organizational development initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with East Asia president to develop and execute organization strategy across all SBGs and functions to support the STRAP growth plan
- Partner with the President to establish and strengthen leadership team in Korea and Japan, with focus on creating a culture of transparency, commercial intensity and people development
- Strategically lead and fully execute key HR Initiatives to support the business including buying and building key talent for key roles .
- Take active part in decision making for profitable growth of the business as a member of East Asia Leadership team.
- Be the change agent for organizational transformation and drive performance driven culture within the organization. Lead organization talent upgrade including for leadership roles.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in internal processes and makes constructive suggestions for change.
- Manage all employees’ relations. Coach and counsel employees and managers in addressing interpersonal and behavioural challenges.
- Assist in the interpretation and application of company policies through effective guidance for managers and employees, ensuring compliance with local labour requirements/ regulations.
- Ensure regulatory and policy compliance across the organization.
- Lead performance management and compensation processes as per corporate guideline and in consultation with Total Rewards COE.
- Manage benefits program locally and benchmarking with market practices, assisting with benefits related questions.
- To lead talent management and organization development initiatives across the group, including Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Organization Development and implementing learning strategies and programs.
- Lead the agenda on inclusion and diversity.
- Adept as M&A, divestitures and local partnerships and alliances.
- Co-own the agenda of compliance, integrity and ethics.
- Champion communications plan by driving understanding of business goals and objectives including lean initiatives.
- Drives organizational development, planning and creation of HR processes to build organizational capability. Identify opportunities for improvement in internal processes and makes constructive suggestions for change.
- Serve as a key point of contact for HR matters.
EDUCATION
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required, MBA or master degree is preferred
- At least 15 years of progressive HR experience including at least 5 years HR leadership and people leadership experience in multinational organizations.
- Must have experience in running HR in both Korea and Japan.
- Hands-on and oversee HR experience in managing manufacturing plants, commercial teams and functions, understanding the differences and commonalities of each team.
- Capable of influencing business leaders to drive HR initiatives.
- Experience in labour relationship management and workforce management
- High proficiency in English, and ability to effectively communicate and manage stakeholders of different cultures and nationalities
- Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization.
- Results oriented mindset with ability to prioritize and complete projects
- Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
