As a Hostess, you’re not just helping prepare for dining and event service – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
- Manage the restaurant entrance and ensure guests receive a positive first impression.
- Handle guest reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special requests.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Coordinate with the service team regarding table availability and guest requirements.
- Monitor guest flow and ensure smooth seating during busy periods.
- Provide information about menu items, promotions, restaurant facilities, and hotel services when required.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Ensure VIP guests, repeat guests, and special occasions are recognized and attended to.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception/hostess area.
- Assist the service team during peak periods to ensure excellent guest experience.
- Follow all hotel/restaurant standards, policies, and hygiene requirements.
