About the Role
The Renewal Manager plays a critical role within Seismic's Customer Success organization, responsible for protecting and growing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by leading, negotiating, and transacting renewals efficiently and accurately across a high-volume portfolio of accounts. This role owns the end-to-end renewal lifecycle, from early notification through quote, negotiation, and contract execution, partnering closely with Customer Success, Renewal Operations, Deal Desk, Finance, and Legal to deliver clean, on-time renewals at scale.
Success in this role requires disciplined forecasting, a strong read on account health and customer engagement signals, and the judgment to negotiate terms that protect Seismic's ARR while honoring the customer relationship. The Renewal Manager is also expected to bring a proactive mindset, surfacing process gaps, automation opportunities, and ways to make the renewals motion more scalable as the team grows.

Who you are:
Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Renewal Manager, Account Manager, or equivalent commercial role within a B2B SaaS organization.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding renewal quota, retention targets, and SaaS revenue goals in enterprise or mid-market environments, with strong understanding of ARR, NRR, GRR, churn, expansion, co-terming, and multi-year deal structures.
- Proven ability to own commercial negotiations with procurement, finance, and legal stakeholders, clearly articulating value and terms to customers and internal teams.
- Hands-on experience managing renewal pipelines, opportunity records, and customer health indicators in Salesforce, CPQ, Gainsight, or comparable Customer Success platforms.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing a high-volume book of business across multiple renewal stages while building trusted cross-functional relationships with CSMs, AEs, Deal Desk, Legal, and Finance.
Preferred
- Prior experience at a high-growth SaaS company with a dedicated, scaled renewals function (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, Adobe, or similar).
- Experience working with customers in North America, EMEA, or APJ time zones from an India-based location.
- Familiarity with Seismic's enablement platform or the broader sales enablement, content management, or GTM technology market.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
What you'll be doing:
Renewal Management
- Own the full renewal lifecycle for an assigned portfolio, initiating outreach 120–180 days prior to expiration and driving on-time close.
- Identify ARR risk early through account health, engagement, and payment signals, escalating in partnership with the CSM when intervention is needed.
- Execute consistent renewal communication cadences (notification, reminder, urgency, and post-renewal touchpoints) using approved templates and talk tracks.
- Engage proactively with customers showing low responsiveness or risk signals, applying defined escalation paths to keep renewals on time.
Negotiation & Deal Terms
- Champion the Seismic value proposition with customers to up-level the conversation and focus on long-term capabilities that Seismic delivers to the customer’s business.
- Negotiate favorable renewal terms, including pricing, uplift, license adjustments, multi-year and co-term scenarios, with judgment that protects ARR while maintaining the customer relationship.
- Partner with Renewal Operations, Deal Desk, and Legal on non-standard requests, redlines, and approvals.
Forecasting & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate weekly renewal forecasts (Best Case / Commit / Worst Case) informed by account health, customer engagement, and stage progression, reporting ARR risk and expected outcomes to leadership.
- Track and report key metrics including On-Time Renewal Rate, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and Gross Revenue Retention (GRR).
Order Form Creation & Deal Execution
- Build and process renewal quotes, order forms, and amendments in CPQ, ensuring accurate SKUs, pricing, uplift, and contract terms prior to signature.
- Coordinate with Renewal Operations and Finance for quote approval, DocuSign execution, and booking handoff.
Salesforce (SFDC) & Gainsight Administration
- Maintain accurate opportunity records, contract dates, and ARR values in SFDC; ensure pipeline hygiene with weekly updates to stage and risk indicators.
- Leverage Gainsight for renewal notifications, customer engagement tracking, and health-based risk identification across the portfolio.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the assigned CSM to assess account health, adoption, and risk factors; engage the assigned AE on accounts with identified expansion opportunity.
- Align with Renewal Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, and Legal on non-standard terms, approvals, and process exceptions.
