Accountabilities:
- Own strategic oversight of a portfolio of 10–15 client accounts, ensuring SEO and GEO initiatives align with long-term business goals and deliver measurable ROI.
- Act as the senior SEO and search authority across accounts, guiding account teams and setting quality and performance standards without direct day-to-day execution ownership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite and executive stakeholders, translating search performance into business outcomes such as revenue, pipeline, and growth.
- Identify and drive upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities in partnership with Paid Media, Creative, and Client Engagement teams.
- Provide strategic direction across SEO and GEO initiatives, ensuring alignment with evolving search behaviors, including AI-driven and generative search environments.
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping elevate strategic thinking and execution quality across account teams.
- Contribute to thought leadership by sharing insights, testing new approaches, and shaping best practices across SEO, GEO, and AI-enabled marketing.
- Extensive experience in SEO strategy, ideally within an agency or multi-client environment, covering enterprise SEO, content strategy, analytics, and integrated digital marketing.
- Strong hands-on understanding of both traditional SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), including AI Overviews and LLM-driven discovery behavior.
- Proven ability to manage senior client relationships, including direct engagement with CMOs and executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving account growth, retention, and expansion revenue.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical search insights into clear business value.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex client organizations, influence decision-making, and manage high-stakes conversations.
- Strong leadership mindset with experience guiding teams, setting direction, and elevating performance without direct line management responsibilities.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, multi-account environments with strong prioritization and adaptability skills.
- Preferred: experience leveraging AI tools to improve SEO workflows, insights generation, and operational efficiency.
