Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a highly experienced Lead Principal, Data Center & Power Sourcing to drive strategic, critical, and high-impact infrastructure programs directly supporting the EVP of Infrastructure. This is a highly visible senior individual contributor role at the center of Oracle’s data center growth strategy, focused on accelerating capacity, power, and site sourcing decisions that enable the business to meet rapidly evolving customer and product demand.

This individual will work across executive leadership, capacity planning, data center engineering, power and utilities, networking, construction, finance, legal, security, compliance, procurement, and operations to shape and execute complex sourcing strategies. The role requires exceptional judgment, executive presence, analytical depth, and the ability to turn ambiguous, fast-moving inputs into crisp recommendations, decision-ready materials, and executable plans.

The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who can move quickly, communicate clearly with senior executives, manage sensitive and high-stakes workstreams, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders without waiting for perfect information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic data center and power sourcing initiatives that directly support the priorities of the EVP of Infrastructure.
  • Drive high-priority programs requiring quick turnarounds, strong executive communication, and clear decision-making under ambiguity.
  • Develop and present executive-ready materials, including investment write-ups, sourcing recommendations, market assessments, risk summaries, and decision memos.
  • Evaluate global and regional data center and power opportunities, including site availability, market dynamics, utility readiness, commercial terms, delivery risk, cost, schedule, and scalability.
  • Partner with capacity planning, engineering, construction, networking, finance, legal, procurement, security, compliance, and operations teams to align sourcing strategy with business demand.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams to evaluate, negotiate, and recommend data center, power, lease, build-to-suit, wholesale, retail, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Conduct market research on targeted metros, countries, regions, data center providers, power markets, utility constraints, and emerging infrastructure opportunities.
  • Support commercial negotiations with data center operators, landowners, utilities, developers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Help structure and negotiate complex agreements, including leases, service orders, operating agreements, amendments, renewals, power-related agreements, and related commercial documents.
  • Drive accountability across internal and external partners to ensure delivery against safety, quality, cost, schedule, capacity, operational, and business requirements.
  • Build and maintain accurate systems of record, executive reporting, program dashboards, and materials that improve leadership visibility into sourcing priorities and risks.
  • Identify risks, tradeoffs, dependencies, and decision points early, and proactively escalate with clear recommendations.
  • Operate as a trusted strategic partner to the Chief of Staff, Head of Business Operations, and senior Infrastructure leadership on critical initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading complex data center, infrastructure, energy, power, site selection, real estate, procurement, development, or commercial sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data center markets, operators, site selection, lease structures, infrastructure delivery, and mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with complex negotiations, contract formation, commercial terms, and cross-functional deal execution.
  • Familiarity with power sourcing, utility engagement, grid constraints, sustainable infrastructure practices, and power-related commercial considerations.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, decision-ready narratives.
  • Proven ability to support senior executives on strategic, high-visibility, and time-sensitive priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, including market analysis, financial modeling, TCO analysis, scenario planning, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical, commercial, legal, finance, and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong ownership mindset and willingness to do what it takes to drive critical workstreams to completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality work quickly, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel and presentation skills; ability to build crisp executive-level materials and data-backed recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with hyperscale cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, data center leasing, power procurement, energy strategy, or large-scale infrastructure development.
  • Background in real estate development, land acquisition, utility negotiations, permitting, or infrastructure finance.
  • Experience working directly with executive leadership, Chiefs of Staff, business operations teams, or strategic program offices.
  • Familiarity with global data center markets, power-constrained regions, and emerging infrastructure hubs.
  • Experience building operating cadences, dashboards, executive reporting, and governance mechanisms for large-scale programs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for data center visits, partner meetings, market reviews, and critical sourcing activities.

Success Profile

The successful candidate will be able to move seamlessly between strategy and execution. They will be comfortable working with incomplete information, distilling complex infrastructure tradeoffs, driving alignment across senior stakeholders, and producing high-quality executive materials on short timelines. They will bring credibility with technical and commercial teams, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence decisions that directly impact Oracle’s infrastructure growth.

This is a high-impact senior individual contributor role for someone who thrives in visible, mission-critical environments and wants to help shape the next phase of Oracle’s global data center and power strategy.
