Accountabilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems and distributed applications using Rust, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Architect and implement testable, efficient, and highly scalable code for observability workloads handling logs, metrics, and traces.
    • Analyse, debug, and enhance existing systems to improve performance, stability, and maintainability.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues and software bugs in distributed environments.
    • Contribute to the design and improvement of database and storage systems, including SQL and analytics processing layers.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to build and optimize cloud-native, Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
    • Participate in shaping system architecture decisions, particularly around distributed systems and data processing pipelines.
    • Requirements:

      • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong exposure to distributed systems.
      • Proven hands-on experience with Rust for backend or systems-level development.
      • Strong understanding of low-level systems programming and performance optimization concepts.
      • Experience with databases, SQL, and data-intensive system design.
      • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments.
      • Exposure to observability platforms or telemetry systems (logs, metrics, traces) is highly desirable.
      • Experience with building databases in Rust or working with Apache Arrow / DataFusion is a strong plus.
      • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in complex technical environments.
      • Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
