Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Specialist in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic financial institution location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor visitor and employee activity, assist with access control practices, and support closing and opening routines in alignment with site instructions and Allied Universal standards.
- Observe the location for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related concerns, and report findings promptly through required communication channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
