The Painter Utility Maintenance Team Member is responsible for performing skilled painting, finishing, and general maintenance duties throughout the resort to ensure guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior facilities remain aesthetically appealing, safe, and in excellent condition. This role combines painting expertise with general building maintenance support and requires a proactive approach to preserving the luxury standards of Ka Laʻi Waikīkī Beach.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Prepare and apply finishes: Paint and polish surfaces in hotel rooms and public areas to meet required standards and timelines
- Install and repair wall and ceiling coverings: Work with materials like vinyl, fabric, and foil, and maintain caulked, grouted, wooden, and masonry surfaces with stain, varnish, and lacquer
- Maintain tools and equipment: Keep all painting tools, equipment, and work areas in excellent working condition
- Manage painting supplies: Oversee supply inventory and ensure all paints and solvents are stored safely and properly
