Our team’s primary product: an AI harness and toolkit designed to help GIU partners develop, integrate, and deliver AI-powered application experiences. The platform provides reusable capabilities, patterns, and tooling that make it easier for teams to adopt AI while maintaining enterprise standards for quality, reliability, security, and maintainability.

As a Lead Principal Platform Software Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical architect driving design decisions across platform services, developer experience, AI integrations, evaluation workflows, and application enablement. You will work across product, engineering, and partner teams to translate emerging AI needs into durable platform capabilities.

This role requires deep platform engineering expertise, strong architectural judgment, and practical experience applying AI and LLM technologies in production-oriented environments. You will be expected to lead through technical influence, mentor senior engineers, define scalable implementation patterns, and help establish the standards by which AI-enabled applications are built across GIU.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on engineering depth with broad systems thinking, understands how to build platforms that other engineers love to use, and can operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving technical domains. Deep technical knowledge of frontend technologies is strongly preferred: JavaScript, TypeScript, nodejs.

 - Design scalable, secure, and reliable services, APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns for GIU partner teams.
 - Lead technical strategy for AI harness capabilities, including LLM integration, prompt orchestration,
evaluation workflows, agentic development patterns, and reusable AI components.

 - Define platform standards for observability, reliability, security, testing, performance, and operational
   readiness.

 - Partner with GIU engineering teams to understand adoption needs and translate them into reusable platform
   features.

 - Provide technical leadership across architecture reviews, design proposals, implementation planning, and
   cross-team engineering decisions.

 - Mentor engineers on platform design, distributed systems, AI application patterns, and high-quality
   software delivery.

 - Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to shape ou roadmap and prioritize high-impact
   platform investments.

 - Evaluate emerging AI technologies, developer tooling, and cloud-native patterns for practical use within
   our core plateform.

 - Drive engineering excellence through clear technical documentation, maintainable designs, automated
   validation, and strong CI/CD practices.
