Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Waiter/Waitress, you’re not just providing food and drink service – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists his/her captain or head waiter during the service by staying constantly at his/her disposal.
  • Contributes constantly to active promotions of in-house sales by optimal knowledge of all services provided by the hotel. Knowledge of the opening hours and promotions of all F&B-outlets is seen as rudiment.
  • Is acquainted with the suggestions of the day before starting the shift.
  • Does the cleaning of all trolleys and pedestal tables.
  • Is responsible for the polish and mis en place of all cutleries.
  • Is in charge of filling the sugar dispensers, mustard pots, toothpicks and oil & vinegar recipients.
  • Is in charge of supplying the restaurant with all linen.
  • Follows the daily cleaning plan.
  • Respects the closure plan of the restaurant.
  • Provides an overall high levels of Food and Beverage service to guests and ensures that guest satisfaction are met.
  • Knows and understands policies relating to Food & Beverage and others. 
  • Recognizes good quality products and presentation. 
  • Checks and improves all service standards established by the company. 
  • Provides assistance to the staff when required during peak periods. 
  • Manages wastes by reducing and recycling, changing staff behaviour to carefully use all resources. 
  • The holder of this statement can be asked to take on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.

  • Must have advanced knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. 
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes. 
  • Advanced English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers. 
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items 
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check and order and close out a check 
  • Ability to work stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
