AMP is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk reporting to the Materials Operations Supervisor on a full time, in office basis. This position will be focused on timely receiving and shipping of baled recycled materials to ensure streamlined plant operations and customer satisfaction. Primary duties include loading and unloading of tractor trailers with forklift, staging and organizing material, quality control, and logging of data into various management systems.
As our Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will work to:
- Safely operate forklift inside plant, inside trailers, and occasionally outdoors.
- Plan and unload, or load, containers.
- Maintain a clean work zone.
- Record accurate weights of all materials entering, or exiting, our facility.
- Enter weight, description, and pictures of inbound and outbound material into the company databases.
- Ensure correct labels are properly placed on all inbound, or outbound, material.
- Track movement of material throughout the facility.
- Create bills of lading.
- Manage traffic flow around the facility.
- Receive packages and parts with accurate recording, receipts and storage of all items.
- Answer shipping or receiving concerns as they arise.
- Organize and accurately file paperwork in a timely manner.
- QC finished goods, using discretion to mark unsuitable goods as non-conforming.
- Work in a self directed manner with minimal supervision.
- Support production and maintenance as needed.
- Ensure zero customer rejections
- Receive at least 100 tons per day to support production needs.
The successful candidate will have:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Read, write and speak English fluently
- Valid driver’s license
- forklift certification
- Be proficient in data entry with minimal errors, and detail-oriented
- Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Well-organized, initiative, strong sense of responsibility
- Basic computer and handheld device skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties
Preferred:
- 1 year or more experience in shipping and receiving
- Warehouse management experience
- Knowledge of recycling industry a plus
- Familiarity with Netsuite
- Familiarity with Google Suite
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree a plus

Salary & Compensation Information: $22.50 - $24.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30 pm or 7am to 5:30pm
- Occasional Fridays as needed
- Weekends off!
