Product Validation Engineer - Virtuoso

Job Overview:

As a Product Validation(PV) engineer, you will be responsible for quality engineering for Cadence Virtuoso product line.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will be responsible for developing Analog & Mixed-signal designs to test various schematic to routing Cadence Virtuoso tool functionalities and interfaces, implementing test methodologies, creating test specifications, developing test cases, and setting up and monitoring automated regressions
  • The engineer needs to build scripts/tools to assist and automate testing using scripting languages and make sure products are performing up to the specifications and upholding software quality standards
  • He/She will be working closely with global R&D, Product Engineering and Software Release teams to enhance the quality of the product
  • Should be able to work with global internal & external customers

Experience and Technical Skills Required:

  • Good understanding of Analog circuit design methodologies
  • Good technical knowledge & debugging skills
  • Good knowledge/experience with AI/ML and scripting languages like Python & Perl

Job Qualification:                       

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics/VLSI design engineering with 1-2 yrs industry experience  
  • Candidate must be passionate, self-motivated, fast learner and capable of significantly contributing individually as well as a team player
  • Should have strong English communication skills
  • (Preferred)Good understanding of QA methodologies, passionate about automation and its implementation
  • (Preferred)Understanding of Cadence SKILL, Perl, Python programming languages and Unix environment will be a plus
