The Patient Placement Coordinator (non-RN) has the primary responsibility to coordinate communication for all transfer requests, consult requests, and direct admissions to SPH. They are responsible for centrally reinforcing process by monitoring information systems for timely completion and accurate input and have the authority to request immediate compliance from responsible staff. This position works with the PCS, Patient Care Supervisor, to orchestrate timely placement of all admissions into SPH and serves as the primary contact for direct admission/inter-facility transfer referral requests, consult requests. They work to assure correct patient status, level of care and bed availability based on mutually acceptable ETA. This position supports the Emergency Department operations by assessing the organization's ability to match known resources to volumes in real time.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: CNA/Certified Nursing Assistant, or
- Coursework/Training: EMT, or
- Coursework/Training: EMT-P
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in hospital or medical business office functions.
- 2 years experience use Microsoft applications; Outlook, Teams and Excel.
- 2 years experience using web-based software.
- 2 years Customer Service experience.
