**What you`ll do:**
_Following the “Software as a Service” (SaaS) approach, the operational and the maintenance activities for a software operated in the cloud are not on the customer side anymore. Getting more understanding about what is happening inside of the application with respect to the performance and the content usage is one of the major requirements of many customers of such cloud products of SAP as Analytics Cloud, Data Sphere and Business Data Cloud._
_We are investing continiously in collecting and analyzing usage and performance metrics to enhance our SaaS cloud software. As a_ **Senior Data Scientist** _, you will play an important role in transforming raw data into actionable insights—both to optimize our platform and to deliver high-impact value to our customers. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams to identify trends, predict outcomes, improve performance and stability and build scalable and enterprise-ready solutions. Your key responsibilitis are going to be_
+ **_Data-Driven Product Improvement_** _: Analyze usage patterns, performance bottlenecks, and feature adoption to guide product roadmaps and engineering priorities._
+ **_Customer Insights:_** _Develop models and dashboards that surface actionable insights for customers, enabling them to maximize the value of our platform._
+ **_Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics_** _: Build and deploy ML models to forecast usage trends, detect anomalies, and recommend optimizations._
+ **_Cross-Functional Collaboration:_** _Partner with engineering to instrument data collection, and with product teams to translate insights into features._
+ **_Scalable Data Solutions:_** _Design and implement robust pipelines, ETL processes, and data architectures to support real-time analytics._
**What you bring :**
+ _University degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or related areas_
+ _Analytical skills, ability to work on complex problems and to do the conceptual work_
+ _Good programming skills_
+ _Strong background in statistical analysis_
+ _Experience with data visualization and dashboarding._
+ _Knowledge and experience with SAP HANA is preferable_
+ _Strong team player_
+ _Fluent in German and English_
