On behalf of our client, a well-established company in the Marine Insurance industry, we are looking to recruit a Branch Manager.
- Leads, mentors, and develops a team of marine insurance professionals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance targets
- Defines and monitor KPIs, driving team productivity and delivery against branch production goals
- Develops and executes the branch’s commercial strategy, focusing on growth across direct clients and broker networks
- Expands and manages relationships with key brokers, clients, insurers, and market partners both local and international
- Promotes and maximises utilisation of internal facilities to enhance competitiveness and revenue
- Identifies and develop new business opportunities across marine classes, yacht insurance, and marine trades sector
- In conjunction with Senior Management, oversees placement and servicing of marine risks, ensuring high-quality client delivery and technical accuracy
- In conjunction with Senior Management maintains strong engagement with Greek and international markets, including London and European markets
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks
- Oversees reporting, documentation, and financial performance tracking of the branch
- Represents the company in the Greek market and at industry events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Maritime Studies, Business, or related field
- Master’s degree in a related field will be considered as a plus
- At least 8 years of experience in maritime insurance broking or underwriting company
- Strong exposure to both Greek and international marine insurance markets
- Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII or equivalent) desirable
- Proven experience across key marine classes (Hull & Machinery, P&I, Cargo, War Risks, Yachts, Marine Trades)
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities
- Results-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Commercial and strategic mindset with a strong focus on results
