Accountant (15-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

On behalf of our client, a global - leading company in the packaging industry, we are looking to recruit an Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and supplier payments
- Processes and executes supplier payments
- Performs bank account and supplier account reconciliations
- Record purchase, service, and other invoices
- Books accruals and prepaid expenses
- Participates in monthly closing activities
- Performs General Ledger (G/L) postings
- Creates Investment Orders and Fixed Asset postings
- Runs and reviews depreciation calculationss
- Prepares and submits ELSTAT and Intrastat reportss
- Ensures compliance with MyData requirements
- Liaises with external auditors during annual statutory audits
- Prepares and maintain SOX Control documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Master’s degree in a related field will be considered as a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge of Greek accounting and tax regulations
- Good understanding of MyData requirements
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
