Accountant (15-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

On behalf of our client, a global - leading company in the packaging industry, we are looking to recruit an Accountant. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and supplier payments 
  • Processes and executes supplier payments 
  • Performs bank account and supplier account reconciliations 
  • Record purchase, service, and other invoices 
  • Books accruals and prepaid expenses 
  • Participates in monthly closing activities 
  • Performs General Ledger (G/L) postings 
  • Creates Investment Orders and Fixed Asset postings 
  • Runs and reviews depreciation calculationss 
  • Prepares and submits ELSTAT and Intrastat reportss 
  • Ensures compliance with MyData requirements 
  • Liaises with external auditors during annual statutory audits 
  • Prepares and maintain SOX Control documentation 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field 
  • Master’s degree in a related field will be considered as a plus  
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role 
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel 
  • Strong knowledge of Greek accounting and tax regulations 
  • Good understanding of MyData requirements 
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
