They are foundational. As Reliability & Test Engineer, you will own the design and enforcement of reliability, testing, and safety practices across Dunia’s facilities. Your role is to minimize downtime, prevent failure propagation, and ensure that every experiment, run, and dataset meets a consistently high quality bar. This role exists to make sure the system works every time, not just most of the time. Your tasks will include: Design reliability into the system Identify where failures are likely to occur before they happenEliminate single points of failure across hardware, automation, and workflowsBuild recovery strategies that minimize impact when things go wrongTest what actually matters Define tests that reflect real operating conditions, not ideal scenariosEnsure consistency and reproducibility across runs and systemsPrevent subtle degradation from quietly eroding qualityProtect safety as autonomy increases Anticipate how increased automation changes riskDesign safeguards that work without constant human interventionTake ownership of safety as a system property, not a checklistTurn failures into progress Investigate incidents and near-misses deeplyTranslate findings into durable system improvementsRaise the reliability bar across the organizationYour profileDegree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, industrial, or related field)5+ years experience in reliability engineering, test engineering, or quality assurance in complex technical systemsStrong background in failure analysis, testing methodologies, and system validationExperience working with automated, hardware-software integrated environmentsHigh standards, strong ownership mindset, and comfort saying “this isn’t ready”Clear communicator who can align teams around quality and safety expectationsAbout usDunia, meaning “world” in over 20 languages, reflects our focus on building technologies that deliver abundance globally.
