Accountabilities:
- Prepare probate petitions, pleadings, inventories, accountings, fiduciary documents, and other court filings.
- Manage probate matters from estate opening through final distribution and case closure.
- Draft and revise estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related legal documents.
- Prepare client correspondence, engagement letters, and other legal communications.
- Coordinate with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, financial institutions, title companies, and court personnel.
- Track court deadlines, maintain case calendars, and ensure timely filings.
- Organize and maintain electronic case files and legal documentation.
- Assist attorneys with estate asset collection, inventory preparation, and supporting documentation.
- Schedule client meetings and support attorney calendar management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while delivering high-quality legal support with exceptional attention to detail.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Probate Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
- Proven experience handling probate administration from estate opening through final closing.
- Strong background drafting probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, fiduciary documents, and court filings.
- Experience preparing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
- Thorough understanding of probate court procedures and filing requirements.
- Experience communicating professionally with clients, courts, financial institutions, and fiduciaries.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, proofreading, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple active matters independently while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal practice management software such as Clio, MyCase, or similar platforms.
- Experience with electronic court filing systems, trust administration, or probate matters across multiple state jurisdictions is preferred.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
