Job Purpose The Country Clinical & Occupational Health Lead (Physician) is responsible for the delivery, coordination, and oversight of clinical and occupational health services for Unilever Myanmar. The role combines clinical responsibilities with operational accountability for occupational health service delivery, ensuring services are provided in line with Unilever Global Health & Wellbeing (GHW) standards, local legal requirements, and site-specific risk profiles. The role ensures appropriate clinical governance, medical input to the business, and reliable day-to-day operation of occupational health services, including oversight of third-party providers if applicable. Clinical & Occupational Health Responsibilities • Provide medical and occupational health advice to the business on public health, occupational health, and employee wellbeing matters. • Support the design, implementation, and review of occupational health programmes, including health surveillance, medical assessments, and return-to-work processes. • Provide clinical input on fitness for work, work capability, and workplace accommodations, in line with applicable legislation and GHW standards. • Support access to appropriate clinical care, emergency response, and referral pathways for employees. Operational Service Delivery • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day delivery of occupational health services across Unilever Myanmar sites. • Ensure services are delivered consistently, safely, and in accordance with agreed scope, standards, and site needs. • Support planning and prioritisation of occupational health activities based on workforce needs, site risks, and operational requirements. • Ensure clear processes are in place for case management, escalation, emergency response, and follow-up. • Identify service delivery risks or gaps and escalate through appropriate GHW or country governance channels. Third-Party Provider Oversight • Oversee the delivery of occupational health and medical services provided by third-party vendors. • Monitor service performance, quality, and compliance with agreed scope and GHW standards. • Act as the main point of contact for clinical and operational matters with external providers, clinics, and hospitals. • Support reviews of service arrangements and advise on improvements where required. Stakeholder Engagement • Work closely with Country HR, SHE, site leadership, and GHW colleagues. • Communicate health risks and recommendations clearly to relevant stakeholders. • Support translation of clinical requirements into practical and workable service delivery arrangements. Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement • Maintain accurate clinical and occupational health records using Unilever-approved systems. • Review health data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement. • Contribute to required GHW reporting and local health insights. Qualifications & Experience • Medical degree with valid license to practice (or eligibility) in Myanmar. • Experience in occupational health or equivalent clinical practice. • Working knowledge of local health, safety, and occupational health legislation. • Ability to work independently and manage both clinical and service delivery responsibilities.
