We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Manager / Procurement Specialist to support the Head of Procurement and Procurement Managers across a range of indirect procurement categories.
This role is ideally suited to an individual looking to develop their procurement career within a global organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in stakeholder engagement, procurement reporting and analysis, supplier onboarding, contract administration, and the management of procurement data and systems. Strong Excel and data manipulation skills are essential, alongside a desire to develop professionally through CIPS qualification.
How you create impact
- Support the National Head of Procurement and Procurement Managers with sourcing, supplier management, and procurement initiatives, including liaison with Global Procurement Team and Procurement Outsource Partner on wider projects.
- Act as a key point of contact for procurement queries, managing the Procurement inbox and ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing guidance on procurement processes, policies, and best practice.
- Produce and maintain procurement reports, spend analysis, savings tracking, KPI dashboards, and management information.
- Maintenance and upkeep of Procurement Intranet page ensuring relevant and to date
- Analyse procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
- Manage the new supplier approval process, including supplier due diligence and compliance checks.
- Management of the procurement contract database, ensuring supplier and contract records remain accurate and the team are dealing with expiries and renewals.
- Manage and maintain category structures, product codes, and supplier catalogues within the P2P system to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Support supplier onboarding, contract administration, and supplier performance monitoring activities.
- Assist in maintaining procurement governance, policies, and compliance with regulations including GDPR, Modern Slavery, Anti-Bribery, Anti-Trust, and IR35 requirements.
- Support procurement projects, business implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we would like you to bring
- 1–3 years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a commercial support role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, reporting, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience working with procurement systems and P2P platforms.
- Previous exposure to supplier onboarding, category management, contract management, or spend analysis.
- Experience within logistics, professional services, facilities, or other indirect spend categories.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
- Currently studying towards CIPS, or keen to commence CIPS studies with employer support.
