Join our global team and help us make great cinema accessible to everyone, everywhere.About the RoleYou’ll be the lead business affairs Director for global film Production and Distribution matters, reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Business Affairs. You’ll be an integral driver in a dynamic, growing team supporting the next phase of MUBI’s growth.We work hybrid-remote where we require 3 office days in London. Our core days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with the flexibility to use our offices on the remaining two days if you wish.Where you’ll have impact:Partnering with and advising key stakeholders across the business on contract negotiation and management across the lifecycle of MUBI’s films globally with a focus on Development, Production and Distribution matters.Drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements with a variety of counterparties relating to Production and Distribution matters (including development agreements, writer’s agreements, option agreements, production financing agreements, security agreements, IPA, cast agreements, producer agreements and distribution agreements).Reviewing rights issues, chains of title, review and legal delivery in connection with film, television, music, stills, promotional materials.Supervising Production Finance closings.Managing and drafting a high volume of contracts with short deadlines.Working collaboratively with various cross functional teams of all levels across multiple territories and departments.Complementing the existing skill set of the team, offering your expertise where there are gaps in knowledge.What you’ll bring:Proven experience in film development and production, distribution and licensing of all rights (theatrical, non-theatrical, Video, On Demand, TV, ancillary).Proven expertise in contract negotiation, drafting and management.Legal qualifications and experience would be advantageous.Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.Excellent team skills and a collaborative, positive approach.Ability to grasp and manage complex issues and find solutions.Excellent drafting skills and the ability to work across a wide variety of contracts.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Confidence in managing both internal and external stakeholders at various levels across the business.Ability to prioritise work and meet short deadlines.If you feel you’ve got what it takes but don’t meet all the requirements we’ve listed above, we’d still love to see your application.We want to make cinema accessible to everyone.
