Group, Conference and Events Sales Executive (temporary)

As a Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Executive- Express Team, you will play a key role in driving revenue through the successful sale and planning of small- and medium-sized groups, conferences, and events across our meeting spaces and Food & Drinks venues, including Purobeach, MON Bar & Restaurant, and Indigo. You will serve as the primary point of contact for both new and returning clients, guiding them seamlessly through the entire journey—from initial enquiry and quotation to negotiation, contracting, and detailed event planning. While on-site event operations are not within the scope of this role, your ability to deliver exceptional pre-event organization and a holistic understanding of client requirements will be critical to success. Working in close collaboration with the proactive Sales team as well as all operational teams, you will actively contribute to the commercial strategy, driving both hotel performance and outstanding customer satisfaction.
As part of the Express Team, you will be responsible for delivering the following to the highest professional standards:
- Qualifying assigned leads received through multiple channels
- Preparing and presenting tailored quotations aligned with the hotel’s commercial strategy
- Leading negotiations and successfully contracting bookings
- Coordinating detailed event planning in close collaboration with your clients and all operational departments
- Managing room allotments for in-house events and convention blocks
- Maintaining a strong and up-to-date knowledge of Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona’s facilities, products, and services
- Supporting the Commercial Director, (Assistant) Director of GM&E Sales, and the wider Commercial Department in maximizing revenue through strategic upselling and cross-selling, including with external partners
- Acting as a role model for junior team members and trainees, taking a proactive approach to coaching, training, and development
- Ensuring full compliance with Hilton and hotel policies and procedures, including accurate and timely information collection, as well as adherence to deposit and billing guidelines

- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in Groups, Meetings & Events within a hotel or similar environment
- Familiarity with Delphi.fdc and Hilton PMS systems is considered an advantage
Fluency in English is required; additional languages, particularly Spanish, are a plus
