Join our innovative team dedicated to designing advanced electric motors and generators. As Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll drive technical excellence, mentor talented engineers, and lead projects that power next-generation solutions for aerospace and industrial applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority for mechanical design of electric motors, generators, and gearboxes.
• System Integration: Coordinate large design teams during electric machine development.
• Project Management: Drive schedules, manage BOMs, and ensure design coordination.
• Innovation & Collaboration: Develop products as part of an integrated engineering team.
• Product Development: Support all phases of design and mentor junior engineers.
• Design Engineering: Lead CAD modeling/drafting, analysis, and optimization.
• Customer Focus: Present solutions and incorporate customer input.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- 15+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
- 10+ years with NX modeling and drafting
- Prior systems design lead experience
- Must be a US Citizen (ITAR)

- Experience with high-speed rotating equipment (motors, generators, turbomachinery)
- ASME Y14.5 GD&T expertise
- Experience across concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases
- Strong communication and leadership skills
