Software Engineering Advisor
Responsibilities
Design and implement customized B2B integration solutions that support multiple client engagements, enabling both new business growth and ongoing customer data exchange initiatives.
Develop and maintain interfaces for enterprise applications and external trading partners.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement integration technologies and tools to support real-time and batch processing workflows.
Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake solutions that consolidate critical business data across Customer, Provider, Claims, Client, and Benefits domains.
Develop and implement data management processes, analytical methods, and tools to identify trends, relationships, and insights from large and complex datasets.
Contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive enterprise information environment that supports strategic decision-making through advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
Apply creativity, strategic thinking, and sound judgment to plan, design, and deliver complex technical initiatives.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor, leveraging expertise to provide guidance and recommendations to functional and business leaders.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Minimum of 5 plus years of EDI development experience.
Extensive experience designing and implementing real-time integration processes and end-to-end system configurations.
Strong proficiency with the IBM B2B integration tool suite.
Solid understanding of relational database concepts and architecture.
Advanced expertise in SQL development, database design, and automation.
Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
Proven ability to manage and process large-scale data files and datasets.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator and WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX/ITX) mapping.
Healthcare industry experience.
Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure Storage services.
Knowledge of .NET Core or comparable backend technologies, including MVC design patterns.
Experience configuring and supporting trading partner communications using FTP, HTTP, and SMTP protocols.
Familiarity with Kafka and/or Azure Service Bus.
Experience with Perl scripting.
Required Experience & Education
5 plus years of overall software engineering experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with the core technical skills outlined above.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Technology Management, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
