JOB PURPOSE
The Data Specialist will play a key role in enabling a strong, data driven culture across North America. Acting as a technical and functional strategic partner to business and technology teams, this role supports the adoption of Unilever’s data strategy, governance, and data platform capabilities.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about data foundations, analytics enablement, and stakeholder collaboration in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical and functional point of contact for Business teams and the xOPS CD Data Foundation.
- Drive the adoption of Unilever’s data strategy across North America.
- Establish and evolve a regional framework to support scalable data solutions.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of data models within the Market Data Lake.
- Lead Data Ingestion, Data Catalog, and Data Governance activities for the region.
- Support the definition and adoption of the operating model with cross functional teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective business support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in Data & Analytics roles (e.g., Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar).
- Experience working on enterprise scale data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure data technologies, including:
- Azure Databricks
- Data Lake
- SQL Server
- Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience working in global, matrixed organizations
- Programming experience in Python and Scala.
- Understanding of Data Quality and Data Governance principles.
