This position is located in the State Office of Delaware/Maryland - Community Programs, USDA-Rural Development (RD). The incumbent of this position serves as an environmental advisor and analyst managing a wide range of source issues to support Rural Development's environmental policies and procedures and review responsibilities. This vacancy announcement is open to current Rural Development Employees only. Assists staff and applicants in ensuring timely and proper public involvement and review processes where necessary. Prepares and delivers training in appropriate venues (e.g., conferences, training events, webinars, or teleconferences) and posts and maintains training information and guidance documents on web sites. As requested from the National Office, transmits specific environmental information and data to support annual reporting requirements. Conducts consultation with federally­ recognized tribes and State Historic Preservation Officers under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, and determines effect on listed species under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act.
