The intern will work closely with the D365 project lead, department stakeholders, and consulting partners to help translate day-to-day business needs into clear, actionable reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with department stakeholders (sales, engineering, operations, finance, and projects) to gather and document current reporting needs and pain points.
- Help scope reporting requirements by identifying what data users need, how often, and in what format (e.g., Power BI dashboard, D365 Financial Reporter, static export).
- Organize and maintain a running log of reporting requests by department, including priority, status, and owner.
- Support the D365 project team in mapping existing manual reports and spreadsheets to potential D365 F&O or Power BI solutions.
- Attend departmental and project meetings to take notes, capture action items, and follow up on open questions.
- Assist in creating simple process diagrams or workflow documentation to clarify how information flows between departments and D365.
- Help prepare summary materials and updates for project leadership on reporting scope and progress.
- Learn and apply basic Dynamics 365 F&O navigation and terminology to better understand the data behind business requests.
- Support other ad hoc project coordination and documentation tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple requests from different departments at once.
- Interest in ERP systems, business process improvement, or data reporting; no prior D365 experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clarifying questions of non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI a plus.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while keeping the project lead informed of progress.
- Curious, detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn manufacturing and ERP concepts quickly.

Compensation
