Marvell provides industry-leading coherent optical communications technology to serve the Data Center interconnect (DCI) applications for the Hyperscaler market and the Long Haul (LH) and Metro Applications for both Hyperscaler and the Telecom markets.Marvell’s products leverage state of the art communications, signal processing, and stochastic processing algorithms and architectures to provide the best in class DSP solutions for high throughput applications.
You will be part of Architecture Coherent DSP team, a highly skilled team involved in the design, simulation, implementation, and validation of DSP ASICs.
Research technical literature related to communications and radar systems
Write Matlab/Python simulators to evaluate the performance of different DSP architectures
Propose efficient solutions for coherent DSP for LiDAR/Radar
Generate material/presentations to support technical discussions
Write system level simulators to evaluate the impact of optical components in the DSP performance
What You Can Expect
Research technical literature related to communications systems, coherent systems and related fields
Write Matlab/Python simulators to evaluate the performance of different DSP architectures
Use, maintain, and modify in-house C++ simulators
Generate material/presentations to support technical discussions
Understand and interpret customer requirements for coherent optical systems and translate those requirements to concrete design decisions
Create and evaluate innovative signal processing solutions that are suitable for CMOS implementation
Model coherent systems at different levels of detail in Matlab, C++, and Python
Define, implement and execute functional verification and validation of the design
Write thorough documentation
Present and defend your decisions and results to internal and external customers
What We're Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical. Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
1+ year of work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to theories, principles and concepts of signal processing and/or digital communications
Good theoretical background on signal theory, and digital signal processing
Good background on physics and mathematics
Experience using Matlab/Python for system level simulations
Preferred Requirements:
Good theoretical background on digital communications
Good theoretical background on stochastic processing
Good background on optical systems
