About The Team:
As a team of five Planning Executives, supported by the Planning Manager and Junior Planning Manager, we coordinate production planning by creating and managing daily and weekly production schedules, rack plans, and SKU allocations to ensure efficient, accurate, and uninterrupted operations across multiple production lines. Working closely with Operations, Logistics, BI, and Engineering teams, we optimise production through data-driven planning, proactively resolve issues, communicate operational changes, and drive continuous improvements to maximise productivity and ensure on-time delivery.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Create and manage daily and weekly production plans, rack plans, and Digital Mealkitting Platform (DMP) schedules to ensure efficient production across multiple lines.
- Optimise production performance by using planning tools, analysing data, and adjusting plans to accommodate operational changes, incidents, and customer demand.
- The Planning Executive collaborates with Operations, Logistics, BI, Engineering, and other stakeholders to coordinate production activities and resolve planning challenges.
- Monitor production performance and planning data, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving operational efficiencies.
- Act as a key point of contact during production, proactively communicating changes, managing escalations, and ensuring issues are resolved with minimal disruption.
- Maintain planning documentation, develop process improvements, and support the wider team with planning tools, testing, and best practices.
Who You Are:
- Experience in production planning, supply chain, manufacturing, operations planning, or a similar fast-paced environment alongside relevant tools.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Confident managing multiple priorities, adapting quickly to changing production requirements, and working effectively under pressure.
- An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Comfortable using data and planning systems, with advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with SQL, Snowflake, or other analytics tools is advantageous.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.

Location: The Windmill, Unit 2 SmartParc, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW
Shifts: 4 days per week rotating every 8 weeks, shifts vary day to day between 7am-6pm/6am-5pm/9am-8pm (rota is planned for the year)
