Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Service Delivery Manager to lead delivery execution for a large-scale technology integration and transformation program within our Capital Markets and Electronic Trading organization.

This role serves as the critical bridge between business objectives, trading domain requirements, and engineering execution. The successful candidate will partner closely with software engineering, architecture, infrastructure, operations, data, and vendor teams to coordinate the delivery of complex initiatives spanning trading platforms, market data, reference data, finance integrations, and production services.

The ideal candidate combines strong delivery leadership with deep capital markets expertise and enough technical depth to effectively engage with engineering teams, understand system design decisions, troubleshoot production issues, and proactively identify delivery risks.

Key Responsibilities

Program and Delivery Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery execution for strategic technology programs within the Institutional Trading organization.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent engineering workstreams, ensuring alignment across architecture, development, testing, infrastructure, security, and production support teams.
  • Working alongside Program Management Office tracks program timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and milestones while providing transparent status reporting to technology and business stakeholders.
  • Drive successful execution of large-scale system integrations, platform migrations, and data transformation initiatives.


Engineering Partnership

  • Work directly with software engineering teams to translate business and trading requirements into actionable delivery plans.
  • Partner with technical leads and architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, scalability requirements, and long-term technology strategy.
  • Guide teams through the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
  • Promote Agile and Scrum best practices while helping teams continuously improve delivery effectiveness.


Capital Markets Domain Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of Security Master concepts
  • Deep understanding of Transactional Trade data
  • Corporate Bond [HY or IG] Electronic Trading market structure
  • Equity & Equity Option Trading Market Structure
  • Experience in Securities Data Modeling
  • Some understanding of Market Data including Aggregated, Consolidated and Montage books
  • Some Understanding of Post Trade Feed flows including calculations for settlement
  • Understanding of any Regulatory organizations 


Production Readiness and Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve complex production issues and operational challenges.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation planning for business-critical trading systems.
  • Ensure operational considerations—including resiliency, monitoring, automation, observability, and supportability—are incorporated into delivery plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, deployment processes, and service quality.


Technical Leadership

  • Provide hands-on leadership when required by analyzing system behavior, troubleshooting data quality issues, and assisting with problem resolution.
  • Work with engineering teams to validate data flows, transformations, integrations, and reconciliation processes.
  • Promote sound engineering practices, reusable design patterns, automation, and architectural consistency across teams.
  • Guide teams toward design decisions that balance current requirements with future flexibility and maintainability.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of related experience in information systems technology

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
