This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects related to human immunology, with a focus on cancer immunology and autoimmunity, in support of multiple projects.Watch the video to learn more about Immunai's culture, and how the External Collaborations team is driving the next generation of oncology and immunology discoveries.Location: New York, NY (Hybrid position)Reporting to: Principal, Translational Immunology LeadWhat will you do?Serve as an immunology subject-matter expert on internal and external collaboration projects.Utilize your computational skills as part of the External Collaborations dry lab team (Systems Immunologists & Computational Biologists).Independently contribute to project planning, including goals, activities, and timelinesLead the translation of data analysis to biological insights with the goal of generating actionable recommendations to inform drug developmentTake an active role in shaping Immunai’s bioinformatic platforms to reflect immunological insightsClearly communicate concepts and findings to external stakeholders in the form of presentations and data reportsPerform literature reviews to establish and maintain a deep understanding of project-specific immunological concepts, and simultaneously maintain a broad understanding of the most current updates in the field, specifically as it relates to immunotherapies, immunology, and single-cell technologiesIndependently advise computational teams on matters of immunology
Requirements
Required qualifications:Ph.D. in immunology or closely related field - A MUSTA minimum of 3-6 years of related experience (postdoc or industry)Hands-on experience dealing with single-cell RNA sequencing including coding and data analysis in R (preferred) or Python - A MUSTExperience with multimodal single-cell data such as CITE-seq, TCR/BCR-seq, or spatial approaches is a plus.Excellent communication and presentation skillsStrong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and innovation aptitudeExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a teamExcellent organization and time management skills, with an ability to multitaskAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionDesired personal traits:You want your work to contribute to better therapeutic decisions and ultimately improve patient outcomes.You prioritize “We” over “I”You enjoy getting things done and striving for excellenceYou collaborate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and culturesYou have a growth mindsetYou are candid, authentic, and transparentCompensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $130,000 and $150,000.
