Accountabilities:

    The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing Oracle database environments, ensuring stability, security, and performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The main responsibilities include:

    • Install, deploy, administer, and maintain Oracle database solutions, including related tools, software, and hardware components.
    • Handle level 3 incidents, problems, requests, and changes related to database environments.
    • Perform configurations, optimizations, and database tuning activities to improve application performance.
    • Apply patches, updates, and corrections following established change management processes.
    • Provide specialized technical support for data-related technologies and maintenance projects.
    • Manage Oracle environments, maintain database object libraries, and ensure consistency across institutional information structures.
    • Define logical data security criteria and validate logical and physical data models.
    • Configure and manage backup and restore routines, supporting data protection strategies.
    • Monitor database performance and resource utilization, identifying opportunities for optimization.
    • Research and evaluate new database infrastructure solutions and prepare technical specifications.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate has solid experience in database administration, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to quality, security, and operational excellence. Required qualifications include:

      • Higher education degree completed or in progress in Information Technology or related fields.
      • Proven professional experience working with database administration activities.
      • Experience managing Oracle database environments.
      • ITIL 4 training (minimum 12 hours) and official ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
      • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
      • Training in Linux fundamentals (minimum 20 hours).
      • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Multicloud Architect Professional course or equivalent knowledge.
      • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing failures and resolving issues in mission-critical environments.
      • Focus on quality, security, and data integrity when handling sensitive information.
      • Proactive approach to identifying performance bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
      • Clear professional communication skills for documentation and collaboration with development teams.
