This role within Emerson serves as an advanced Learning Management System (LMS) resource responsible for leading complex system initiatives, integrations, enhancements, and governance activities across the Global Education Services ecosystem. The Sr. Specialist drives the execution of large-scale LMS projects, ensures system integrity and performance, and partners with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to optimize learning operations, improve system capabilities, and deliver scalable solutions that support organizational objectives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead complex LMS initiatives and enhancements, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment for system-related projects.
  • Own monitoring of LMS integrations, ensuring data integrity, interoperability, and business continuity.
  • Coordinate release management activities with LMS vendor and IT, including testing, validation, communication planning, and post-release monitoring.
  • Design and lead system testing strategies, validation activities, and user acceptance testing for releases, integrations, and enhancements while ensuring alignment with accreditation and compliance standards.
  • Partner with vendors and IT to review release notes, support escalations, evaluate configuration opportunities, and assess enhancement opportunities that improve business processes and user experience.
  • Serve as a key LMS authority, providing guidance on configuration, permissions, learning paths, reporting, system governance, and extended enterprise use cases.
  • Develop and maintain system governance artifacts, including role-based permissions, process documentation, operational standards, and best practices that support consistency, scalability, and compliance across the LMS.
  • Lead system audits and optimization efforts, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, performance, data quality, and user experience.
  • Drive issue management and resolution, including defect triage, escalation coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Partner with business units to define and deliver learning analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support operational decision-making.
  • Support change management and user enablement initiatives, including training of super users and administrators while promoting adoption of new processes and system capabilities.
  • Consult with business units and functional leaders to understand evolving learning requirements and translate business needs into scalable system solutions and reporting capabilities.
  • Act as a key liaison across IT, vendors, and business teams, providing guidance on system capabilities and constraints.

You influence decisions through expertise, collaboration, and data-driven insights while independently managing complex assignments aligned with business objectives.
 

For This Role, You Will Need:

 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Agile or PMP certification
  • Knowledge in Oracle and Learning Management Systems preferred
  • Familiarity with course design and development

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $87,000 - $125,000 annually commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
