What is the opportunity?
You will be joining RBC Brewin Dolphin as Head of Platform Relationships, a strategic role leading our rapidly expanding Intermediary channel managing over £26bn in assets. You will drive sustainable and profitable growth whilst maintaining strong relationships with key third-party platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to shape platform strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives, and position yourself as a key leader within our business.
This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the office. The role can be based at any of the RBC Brewin Dolphin office network.
What will you do?
Drive sustainable and profitable growth across the Intermediary channel, identifying and developing new business opportunities with adviser platforms
Lead, develop and maintain effective relationships with platform providers to secure sustainable, profitable business inflows and identify ongoing partnership opportunities
Maintain existing relationships and where the opportunity exists develop effective relationships with third-party platforms to achieve long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Investments, Governance, Legal and Compliance to develop a robust investment governance framework
Build strong internal relationships with all stakeholders to create an open environment for effective communication and strategic alignment
Support the Business Development Team with market insight and ideas to build sustainable relationships with Independent Financial Advisers and drive business growth
Assist in developing propositions and platform-specific solutions to meet the needs of advisers and customers
Provide proactive representation for Intermediaries across RBC governance forums, committees and external stakeholder meetings, ensuring consistent messaging
Demonstrate strong awareness of market conditions, adapt swiftly to business and regulatory changes, and lead deliberations where appropriate
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Extensive experience in a similar role, working with key adviser platforms such as Aviva, AJ Bell, Quilter or equivalent
Demonstrable background in the Intermediary wealth management market
Strong market knowledge and working knowledge of platform, provider and third-party supplier environments
Excellent relationship building skills, both internal and external, with proven ability to manage complex stakeholder dynamics
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritise competing demands and respond proactively to changing priorities
Robust communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and functions
