Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

As our Senior Director, Developer Advocacy, you are the public face of Crusoe Cloud to the developers, ML engineers, and technical builders who shape where AI infrastructure goes next. You carry that same voice to the architects, technical decision makers, and executives who shape AI infrastructure decisions. This is a rare role for someone who is equally at home in front of a camera and inside a terminal. You have real technical credibility, you know how to earn the trust of practitioners, and you know how to turn that trust into awareness, interest, and adoption.

You don't market at developers. You build with them, talk like one of them, and show up where they already are. You will define how Crusoe Cloud engages developers across social platforms and technical communities, helping us cut through the noise with a cohesive narrative. At events, you'll be on the show floor, engaging directly with developers, capturing their perspectives, and generating real excitement for Crusoe Cloud. And you will personally create the content that makes developers stop scrolling and pay attention, with a particular emphasis on short-form video.

Your developer credibility is the engine, and its reach extends well beyond the developer community alone. This role sits at the intersection of advocacy, content, and community. You will partner closely with Developer Relations, Product, Engineering, and the broader Marketing team, but the voice and the point of view are yours. Your job is to make Crusoe Cloud the platform that technical audiences are curious about, talk about, and want to try, and that the decision makers behind those choices recognize and trust.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Be the Public Voice of Crusoe Cloud

    • Serve as a credible, recognizable face and voice for Crusoe Cloud across developer audiences, building genuine relationships with practitioners rather than broadcasting at them.

    • Develop and own a distinctive point of view on AI infrastructure, GPU compute, model training, and inference that earns the respect of technical audiences and differentiates Crusoe in a crowded market.

    • Represent the real developer experience back into the company, surfacing what builders love, what frustrates them, and where Crusoe can win.

  • Content and Short-Form Video

    • Conceive, script, and produce short-form video that raises awareness of Crusoe Cloud and sparks authentic interest in the platform, optimized for the platforms developers actually watch.

    • Build a consistent content engine across formats, from quick explainers and reactions to behind-the-scenes builds and hot takes, all geared toward awareness and interest rather than documentation or tutorials.

    • Get hands-on with Crusoe Cloud so every piece of content is grounded in first-person technical understanding, not secondhand talking points.

  • Engagement Strategy, Editorial Calendar, and Narrative

    • Define Crusoe Cloud's developer engagement strategy and the point of view that helps us stand out from the noise in a crowded AI infrastructure market.

    • Own a cohesive editorial calendar across social and community channels, ensuring a consistent cadence and a clear, connected narrative about Crusoe Cloud rather than a series of one-off posts.

    • Establish and lead Crusoe's presence in the places developers gather, from X and YouTube to Discord, GitHub, Reddit, and emerging channels, with clear goals for reach, engagement, and platform sign-ups.

    • Build a feedback loop between community conversation and the rest of the company, turning real developer signal into action for Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

  • Reach and Influence Beyond Developers

    • Extend Crusoe's voice beyond practitioners to the architects, economic buyers, and executives who shape AI infrastructure decisions.

    • Translate developer-level credibility into broader awareness and reputation, building recognition for what Crusoe Cloud is and the value it brings to the people deciding where to build.

    • Partner with Product Marketing and Communications so the developer narrative ladders up into messages that land with technical and business decision makers, without diluting the authenticity that makes it work.

  • Developer Engagement at Events

    • Be Crusoe's presence on the show floor at developer conferences and meetups, engaging directly with developers to understand what they're building and what they need.

    • Capture developer views, thoughts, and reactions in the moment, feeding real-world signal back into content, product, and go-to-market.

    • Generate genuine excitement for Crusoe Cloud through authentic, one-on-one conversations and an engaging presence on the floor.

    • Identify creative, unconventional ways to reach developers and technical decision makers beyond the standard booth-and-badge playbook.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership

    • Partner closely with Developer Relations to align advocacy, content, and community efforts into one coherent developer experience.

    • Work with Product and Engineering to stay ahead of the roadmap, ensuring your content and messaging reflect what's real and what's coming.

    • Collaborate with Product Marketing and the wider Marketing team so this work reinforces, and is reinforced by, the broader go-to-market motion.

  • Measurement and Impact

    • Define and track the metrics that matter for this role, including content performance, audience growth, community health, and influence on platform adoption.

    • Use data to learn fast, double down on what resonates, and demonstrate the business value of this work to leadership.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 10+ years of experience in developer relations, developer marketing, technical content creation, or a closely related field, with a track record of building and engaging technical audiences at scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to earn credibility with deeply technical audiences (AI and ML practitioners, cloud infrastructure engineers) and measurable impact on awareness, engagement, or adoption.

  • Hands-on, current technical fluency. You can credibly discuss GPU clusters, model training workflows, inference optimization, and cloud infrastructure with engineers and product managers.

  • Working knowledge of distributed inference and post-training techniques (e.g., fine-tuning, LoRA, quantization, RLHF, model distillation), with enough depth to speak credibly with practitioners and translate these concepts into content that resonates.

  • Ability to carry a single, credible narrative across audiences, from hands-on practitioners to the architects, economic buyers, and executives who shape infrastructure decisions.

  • Proven experience creating content that performs, with direct, hands-on experience producing short-form video for technical or developer audiences.

  • A strong personal point of view and the comfort and presence to be a public-facing voice on camera and across social platforms.

  • Strategic thinker who executes with precision, equally comfortable setting the engagement strategy and personally shipping the content.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex technical concepts clear, compelling, and genuinely interesting.

  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally at an AI-native company, hyperscale cloud provider, or infrastructure startup.

Bonus Points

  • An established personal brand or following within a developer or technical community.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.

  • Direct, hands-on experience building on cloud infrastructure or AI platforms as a practitioner.

  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team of advocates, content creators, or community managers.

  • Familiarity with the AI infrastructure landscape and the practitioners who build on it.
