As a Designer, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, design, and delivery of wireless telecommunications infrastructure across the UK.

 

Working alongside acquisition specialists, surveyors, engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders, you will produce high-quality design documentation that enables the successful deployment, upgrade, and maintenance of mobile network sites.

 

You will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, design packs, and planning documentation that comply with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

The role requires a strong attention to detail, an understanding of telecoms infrastructure, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
 

Job Description:

  • Preparing site designs to operator guidance & requirements.
  • Providing input to and producing Planning & Construction drawings using CAD 2D software.
  • Making recommendations for & progressing further investigation works.
  • Managing daily/weekly assigned workloads and working independently to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborating with the internal design team and wider business functions (Electrical, Build, Civils, Delivery, Acquisition, etc.) to support project delivery.
  • Managing design updates resulting from client-driven design guidance changes, ensuring designs remain compliant.

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience of similar role within telecommunications industry essential. 

  • 3+ years’ experience on CAD software (preferably in engineering) 

  • A significant qualification in design/engineering 

  • Computer literate, including software packages such as AutoCAD & Microsoft Office 

  • Able to record detail & complete documentation manually & electronically. 

  • Good communicator & well organised.
