Job Purpose / Summary.
The APG Automation Products Software Support Engineer is a customer-facing technical support role for Smart Factory Automation Software used in the Semiconductor, Display and Battery manufacturing industries.
This role focuses on supporting, troubleshooting, and stabilizing factory automation software systems such as Quality and Material Handling Systems. This position provides hands-on experience in customer technical support, system implementation, and consulting services, while enabling the development of Smart Factory domain expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support and consulting services for Smart Factory Automation Software
Troubleshoot and resolve software, system, and integration issues related to Quality and Material Handling Systems
Support deployment, installation, and upgrade of Smart Factory solutions and products
Perform remote and on-site technical support as required
Assist presales activities like software demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) validation etc.
Work closely with global Engineering, Services, and Presales teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Programming knowledge in Java, C#, Python, or similar languages
- Basic understanding of software systems, operating systems, or databases
- Willingness to work directly with customers in production and on-site environments
- English communication skills for technical discussions and documentation
- High interest in factory automation software and Smart Factory systems

- This role helps build core skills as a Smart Factory automation software technical support engineer through customer support, system deployment, and presales experience. It offers a clear path to grow into advanced TPS Engineer roles with deeper specialization in factory automation software.
