Software Test Consultant – Healthcare Payments

Experience

3–6 years

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Test Consultant with strong manual testing experience and an interest in growing into test automation. This role will support healthcare payment applications, including API integrations, user interface testing, data validation, and compliance-related workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, and UAT testing.
  • Validate healthcare payment workflows.
  • Perform API, data, and backend validation across healthcare platforms.
  • Document defects clearly, track them through resolution, and verify fixes.
  • Support testing for regulatory, compliance, and audit-related requirements.
  • Work closely with business analysts, product owners, developers, and QA teams across time zones.
  • Contribute to Playwright-based automation as skills develop.

Required Skills

  • 3–6 years of manual testing experience with enterprise applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigation skills, with the ability to analyze issues and identify root causes.
  • Experience in healthcare, payer, provider, or health insurance domains.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare workflows such as claims, enrollment, benefits, eligibility, or provider management.
  • Hands-on API testing experience using tools such as Postman, Bruno, or Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery and SDLC/STLC practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigation skills, with the ability to analyze issues and identify root causes.

Automation Growth Expectations

  • Interest in learning automation frameworks and scripting concepts.
  • Willingness to build Playwright-based test automation skills.
  • Ability to balance manual testing responsibilities while contributing to automation coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • Basic JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS deployment services.
  • Exposure to healthcare data integrations or microservices architecture.
