Are you passionate about creating meaningful experiences and making a positive impact in the lives of seniors? The Delaney at The Vale is seeking a Life Enrichment Aide to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. You will develop programs that support residents’ physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being while fostering a vibrant and connected community.

Salary: $21-23/hour

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, Sunday - Thursday 9:30am-4:30pm

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Life Enrichment Aide: 
  • Lead daily activities that promote creativity, wellness, socialization, lifelong learning, and meaningful engagement. 
  • Plan and teach a variety of arts and crafts classes, adapting projects to meet residents of all skill and cognitive levels. 
  • Lead group fitness and wellness classes including chair exercise, stretching, balance, strength, walking groups, dance, and other age-appropriate movement programs. 
  • Develop fresh, creative programming ideas that inspire residents to participate and try new experiences. 
  • Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents. 
  • Promote a healthy, welcoming, and inclusive community culture for residents, families, and employees.  
  • Encourage resident involvement, build meaningful relationships, and provide one-on-one engagement for residents who may need additional encouragement. 
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to create memorable community events and celebrations. 
  • Help decorate community spaces and create festive, inviting environments for holidays, themed events, and seasonal celebrations. 
  • Assist with community outings. 

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Associate’s degree preferred 
  • Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred

  • Warm, caring, patient, and compassionate 
  • Naturally creative and full of fresh ideas 
  • Comfortable teaching arts and crafts to seniors 
  • Confident leading exercise and wellness classes 
  • Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic 
  • Flexible and willing to jump in wherever needed 
  • Excellent at building relationships with older adults and their families 
  • Organized, dependable, and able to multitask 
  • A team player with a positive attitude and great sense of humor
