Position Overview
OneOme is seeking a Clinical Lab Associate I–III, Accessioning to support laboratory operations in Minneapolis.
This role is responsible for the receipt, handling, review, and accessioning of specimens, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, chain of custody, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
This position is expected to support operational needs and will include weekend shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive incoming packages and ensure proper chain-of-custody handoff
Unpack specimens and perform initial review of sample quality and submission requirements
Accession specimens accurately and efficiently according to laboratory procedures
Maintain complete and accurate records throughout the accessioning process
Build and maintain effective working relationships with other laboratory team members
Support a high-quality, compliant, and efficient laboratory workflow
Perform mission-critical tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain flexibility to support scheduled weekend coverage as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience
Highly organized and systematic, with exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and consistently in a regulated or process-driven environment
Strong initiative and ability to contribute as part of a high-performing team while also working independently
Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt smoothly to new processes
Computer proficiency, including standard software applications and general familiarity with office equipment and technology
