As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing operations.

 

You will report directly to our Sr Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and matrix reporting to Woonsocket, RI site leader, and you’ll work out of our Woonsocket, RI location on a 100% on-site work schedule.

 

In this role, you will impact the manufacturing excellence of Honeywell’s products by applying advanced engineering principles and technologies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Collaborate with product design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and process capability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and standard work while ensuring compliance with control plans.

 

You Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization techniques, and automation skill set, including experience with industrial controls, automated equipment, data acquisition, programming/scripting, process optimization, and integration of smart manufacturing technologies to improve quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Proficient in programming languages, including but not limited to LabVIEW, Python, and SQL
  • Extensive experience with test systems
  • Proficiency with data analysis methodologies to support process improvements.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

 

We Value:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in high/low-volume mix manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to think innovatively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), testability, and failure mode identification.
  • Knowledge of Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR).
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO and AS9100.
