Requirements
3+ years of experience in a reputable investment banking practice with a focus on M&A.
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including accounting fundamentals, financial modelling and valuation.
Understanding of the full M&A process and key commercial considerations at each stage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple workstreams.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CapitalIQ, FactSet or PitchBook is advantageous.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
FINRA SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 will be required for registered roles.
Responsibilities
Design, manage and build complex quantitative analyses across sell-side and buy-side M&A and advisory mandates (valuation analysis, forecast models, merger and buyout models).
Lead the drafting of pitchbooks, Confidential Information Memoranda and other transaction and marketing documents.
Drive administrative and process-oriented aspects of live transactions.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external counterparties throughout project workstreams.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Analysts, supporting both technical development and team culture.
Conduct research and analysis on sector trends, relevant market dynamics and Equiteq’s coverage universe.
Contribute to day-to-day operations, business development initiatives and broader firm culture.
