Position SummaryThe FBN Seasonal Staff Pharmacist will partner with the FBN Direct pharmacy team to process orders for our mail order livestock pharmacy. The pharmacist will be responsible for supervising technicians and support staff and verifying the accuracy of prescriptions. The pharmacy does not dispense controlled substances or perform any compounding. This position will be for coverage for PTO, off site meetings etc. No guaranteed # of hours.

Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacy related tasks performed by pharmacist-interns, technicians, pharmacy support persons and other pharmacy employees
- Maintain compliance with laws governing dispensing for food-producing animals
- Communicate with veterinary clinics for prescription outreach, and assist with prescription data entry if needed
- Answer drug therapy related questions from clients and account representatives
- Assist with order entry and order fulfillment (pick/pack/ship) within pharmacy and warehouse management systems.
- Review and interpret veterinarian orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities where applicable
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Iowa pharmacist license in good standing
- Must be detail oriented, able to multitask, and possess good people skills
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a mail order pharmacy, warehouse, or veterinary setting
