Embedded Software Engineer | £40,000 - £80,000We're working with one of the UK’s most prestigious technology innovation consultancies on this exciting opportunity. You will thrive in a multidisciplinary team, bridging the gap between complex hardware and high-performance software while working on projects that define the future of regulated industries.The Role Design and develop high-performance software applications and control algorithms using OO languages including C++ and C#. Architect and implement robust embedded code in C for diverse hardware platforms and ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers. Collaborate directly with electronics, mechanical, and systems engineers to integrate software with complex robotics platforms. Lead technical workstreams within a fast-paced consultancy environment, taking ownership of innovative solutions from concept to delivery. Drive modern DevOps practices within embedded workflows, including the use of Docker containers and version control.What You'll Need Strong professional proficiency in C/C++ and C#/.NET for both device-level and PC application development. Hands-on experience developing for ARM Cortex MCUs and a deep understanding of hardware-software interfacing. Proven experience utilizing Docker containers for development and deployment workflows. Proficiency with Git version control and a solid grasp of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
