YOUR ROLE
As the SMT Engineering Leader, will be responsible for lead and optimizing SMT processes, ensuring process stability, quality performance, and continuous improvement across production lines. The job provides high visibility inside manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Validate SMT process parameters (printing, placement, reflow)

  • Supervise and lead manufacturing engineering group

  • Support new part number launching, validation, product transfers, components validations

  • Analyze SPI/AOI data and implement process improvements focus con solder paste printing process

  • Coordinate communication with external teams, close contact with APTIV SMT teams worldwide, MTT (manufacturing technology team)

  • Lead SMT internal and external audit

  • Manage engineering resources to effectively support FTQ, CT, scrap and CPH improvement activities

  • Lead cost reduction & quality improvement activities for all Projects, apply Problem Solving tools as needed

  • Ensure effective communications of New Product related information with customers (project team, operations, supervisor, & implementation team)

  • Stay current with all Policies, Procedures, and Design Standards

  • Responsible for forecast, selection, implementation of new equipment

  • Responsible for SMT capacity analysis and report to MTT

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronic, Mechatronic) or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in SMT manufacturing leadership

  • Advanced English

  • Strong knowledge of SMT processes and equipment

  • Experience with paste application, placement SPI, AOI, and reflow profiling

  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610)

  • Experience with statistical analysis (Cp, Cpk, SPC)

  • Leadership experience managing technical and development teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in new products launch and product transfers

  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing knowledge

  • Advanced problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why's)

  • Experience with SMT equipment brands (ASM preferred)

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
