Serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Technical Investigations Instructor) GS-1801-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Cyber Division (CYD), Technical Training Operations (TTO) Directorate under the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations (TOPS) and located in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Technical Investigations Instructor) responsible as a senior-level instructor and leader involved in planning and conducting classroom, laboratory, and/or field instruction sessions as part of the CYD training program. Typical duties include: Serving as a senior instructor, subject-matter expert, and program/course developer in the assigned technology course areas of law enforcement. Conducting training in areas such as, but not limited to the following topical areas: Covert Electronic Surveillance Program, Covert Electronic Tracking Program, Internet Protocol Camera Program, Mobile Device Investigations Program, JTag-Chip-off, Wi-Fi Tools for Analysis and Geolocation. Providing oversight concerning the conduct of training classes for personnel and plans. Conducting advanced export training (off site) at other Federal, State and municipal facilities around the country and international sites on an as-needed basis. Using judgment to adjust to immediate training needs such as repeating material, slowing or increasing the pace of the class, or addressing individual learning needs. Using life experiences from law enforcement to enhance course content and respond to student questions.
