DC H&S and Security Advisor
VF Corporation is looking for a Health & Safety and Security Advisor to join our team based in Belgium.

As DC Health & Safety and Security Advisor, you will play a key role in creating and sustaining a safe, secure and compliant working environment within our Distribution Center in Sint-Niklaas (BE).
This is a hands-on, operational role, where you will work closely with DC leadership, teams on the floor and EMEA partners to drive behavioural change, influence practices, and strengthen a strong Health, Safety and Security culture.
This is a highly visible operational role requiring a hands-on approach, strong influencing skills and the ability to engage employees and leaders at all levels of the organization. While the role includes responsibility for security and asset protection activities, its primary focus is Health & Safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
We are looking for a professional who can contribute from day one, bringing proven Prevention Advisor expertise, strong knowledge of Belgian legislation (Codex) and experience in an operational environment.
How you will make a difference
Health & Safety
- Act as the site's Health & Safety expert and Security Advisor.
- Ensure full compliance with Belgian Health & Safety legislation (Codex) and VF Corporation standards.
- Lead and continuously improve risk assessment programs across the Distribution Center.
- Monitor incidents, accidents and near misses, ensuring robust investigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify emerging risks and proactively implement preventive measures.
- Support leaders in emergency preparedness and incident management.
- Design and deliver Health & Safety training and awareness initiatives.
- Partner with employees and managers to strengthen safety behaviours and drive a proactive safety culture.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of action plans.
Security & Asset Protection
- Support the implementation of site security and loss prevention programs.
- Manage the on-site security provider and monitor service performance.
- Coordinate security audits, inspections and follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with EMEA Asset Protection teams to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Act as a local point of contact for law enforcement and external authorities when required.
- Support investigations relating to loss prevention, theft or security incidents.
- Stakeholder Management & Influence
- Partner closely with Operations, HR, Maintenance and external service providers.
- Support managers in embedding safe and compliant ways of working across the site.
- Challenge unsafe behaviours in a constructive and pragmatic manner.
- Build effective relationships with employee representatives, prevention services, contractors and external partners.
- Provide management with regular updates on risks, incidents, compliance requirements and mitigation plans.
What you bring
Mandatory Requirements
- Certified Prevention Advisor Level II (Belgium); Level I is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian Health & Safety legislation (Codex).
- Proven experience within Health & Safety, EHS or Prevention Advisor positions in a logistics, manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environment.
- Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
- Fluent Dutch and English.
- Exposure to security, asset protection, investigations or vendor management is a plus.
