What this job involves:
As a Critical Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll serve as the strategic operational leader responsible for ensuring our clients' facilities operate seamlessly, efficiently, and safely. This role centers on developing and implementing comprehensive facility management strategies that optimize building performance while enhancing the experience of everyone who works within these spaces. You'll oversee daily operations including maintenance programs, vendor relationships, compliance protocols, and space utilization initiatives. This dynamic role requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving, as you'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver exceptional facility services that support our clients' business objectives and reflect JLL's commitment to innovation and excellence.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Develop and execute comprehensive facility management strategies that align with client objectives and organizational goals
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management for service providers and contractors
- Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements
- Manage capital projects from planning through completion, including space renovations and infrastructure improvements
- Analyze facility data and metrics to identify optimization opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and business continuity planning activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support workplace strategy and space utilization projects
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on facility performance, budget utilization, and operational metrics
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive facilities management experience in commercial real estate environments
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and facility management software
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement processes
- Solid understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance requirements
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP)
- Experience with sustainability programs and LEED building operations
- Background in capital project management and construction oversight
- Knowledge of workplace technology integration and smart building systems
- Experience working with corporate clients in a service provider capacity
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modeling software
