Builder - Head of Finance
The Opportunity:
As Reevo’s Head of Finance, you will own the company’s finance function and be accountable for financial planning, business performance, accounting, cash management, capital allocation, and Board and investor reporting. Your mandate is simple: give Reevo the financial clarity, discipline, and strategic insight required to scale into an enduring company. You will build and lead the Finance organization across:
Strategic Finance and FP&A
Accounting and Financial Operations
Business Performance and Analytics
Treasury, Tax, and Compliance
Board, Investor, and Fundraising Support
This is not a role that simply reports what happened. You will help shape where we invest, how quickly we scale, and how we balance growth with capital efficiency. You will also be one of Reevo’s most important storytellers – turning financial and operating data into a clear narrative about what is happening, why it matters, and what we should do next.
We care deeply about building a strong in-person culture and are very much in build mode. We expect the team to work from our San Francisco or Santa Clara office five days a week.
Who You Are:
You are a strategic finance leader who combines analytical rigor with strong commercial judgment.
You are an exceptional storyteller who can turn complex financial and operating information into clear, actionable narratives.
You are an AI-forward operator who actively identifies opportunities to embed AI and automation into Finance workflows
You think like an owner, balancing ambitious growth with disciplined capital allocation and cash management.
You are equally comfortable presenting to the Board, challenging executive assumptions, and working directly in a financial model.
You build scalable systems and processes without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
You thrive in high-ambiguity environments and bring clarity, urgency, and sound judgment as the company scales.
What You’ll Do:
Own Financial Planning and Performance:
Own Reevo’s operating plan, long-range plan, rolling forecast, and integrated financial model.
Translate company strategy into financial targets, resource plans, and measurable milestones.
Model scenarios across revenue, hiring, product investment, GTM capacity, margins, burn, and runway.
Identify risks and opportunities early and recommend clear actions.
Partner With the Executive Team
Serve as a strategic partner to the founders, COO, and executive leadership team.
Guide decisions involving hiring, pricing, compensation, product investment, and resource allocation.
Bring financial rigor and independent judgment to the company’s most important decisions.
Own Financial Storytelling
Develop the narrative connecting financial performance, operating metrics, product progress, and company strategy.
Own financial materials for Board meetings, investor updates, fundraising, and company planning.
Communicate what happened, why it happened, what we learned, and what actions should follow.
Build the Finance Operating System
Establish trusted reporting for ARR, bookings, revenue, gross margin, retention, acquisition efficiency, sales productivity, burn, and runway.
Build weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating cadences that create accountability and accelerate decisions.
Improve reporting through better systems, automation, and data integration.
Own Accounting and Financial Operations
Oversee accounting, close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, payroll, commissions, tax, treasury, billing, collections, and cash management.
Manage external accounting, audit, tax, banking, and insurance partners.
Build pragmatic controls and prepare Reevo for future audits, diligence, and enterprise requirements.
Lead Capital Strategy and Fundraising Readiness
Maintain a clear view of cash, runway, financing needs, and downside scenarios.
Partner with leadership on capital strategy, fundraising readiness, and investor communication.
Own financial models, KPI reporting, diligence materials, and finance-related Board materials.
Lead and Build the Finance Team
Recruit and develop a high-performing Finance organization.
Determine which capabilities should be built internally and which should remain outsourced.
Build a function known for rigor, speed, transparency, and strong business partnership.
What You Bring:
10+ years of experience across strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
Finance leadership experience at a high-growth, venture-backed B2B SaaS, AI, fintech, or enterprise software company.
Demonstrated ownership of planning, forecasting, financial modeling, cash management, and Board reporting.
Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, including ARR, gross margin, GRR, NRR, CAC, payback, sales productivity, burn, and runway.
Experience supporting fundraising, investor diligence, and capital-allocation decisions.
Strong accounting fluency and experience overseeing financial reporting, revenue recognition, tax, audits, and controls.
Exceptional analytical, written, and executive communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to turn complex information into clear and persuasive business narratives.
High EQ, strong judgment, intellectual honesty, and a bias toward action.
Startup or scale-up experience preferred.
