Accountabilities:

    • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies focused on individual and foundation donors, ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals.
    • Manage and coordinate fundraising activities across internal teams and external partners, ensuring strong project execution and timely delivery of development initiatives.
    • Build, cultivate, and steward relationships with small- to mid-level donors while supporting engagement efforts with larger prospective funders.
    • Conduct prospect research, maintain robust donor pipelines, and identify high-potential funding opportunities to expand philanthropic support.
    • Prepare donor briefings, prospect profiles, and meeting materials to support leadership engagement and fundraising efforts.
    • Contribute to the drafting, editing, and submission of grant proposals, reports, and fundraising materials, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
    • Oversee development operations, including donor databases, fundraising calendars, contribution tracking, acknowledgements, and reporting processes.
    • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen long-term development systems, policies, and strategic fundraising initiatives.
    • Requirements

      • 7–9 years of relevant experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, philanthropy, or related fields, combined with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
      • Demonstrated experience raising funds from charitable foundations, individual donors, or philanthropic organizations.
      • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and meet demanding deadlines.
      • Proven experience managing donor relationships and supporting donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and engagement activities.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, reports, and donor-facing materials.
      • Advanced research skills and the ability to identify and evaluate funding opportunities and prospective supporters.
      • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, along with experience using Airtable, CRM systems, or donor management platforms.
      • Professional, collaborative, and relationship-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.
      • Preferred qualifications include experience in grant writing, nonprofit finance, donor management systems, and familiarity with U.S. democracy, civic engagement, or civil society initiatives.
